This theme was already used in the previous edition, when the script for the first season in the MyPLAYER mode was written by Spike Lee himself. The game offers fun only in the fictionalized MyPLAYER mode, which allows you to create your own player and manage his career before turning professional. It doesn’t let us play a free match, we don’t have any team from the best basketball league in the world to choose from. The NBA 2K17 demo is titled The Prelude, and it’s pretty unusual. Is this a nod to impatient players? Perhaps, but definitely disinterested. However, despite this, the Americans decided to release a demo. This time, NBA Live 16 will only debut at the beginning of 2017, so NBA 2K17 does not have to worry about competition. They didn’t do it for the last editions, despite the fact that their inept competition from EA made it possible to play the demo every year. EA Sports has also announced that it will be launching an NBA Live for different consoles sometimes in early 2017 to face off with that of 2K.2K Games surprised me by releasing a demo version of the latest version of its virtual basketball this year. "NBA 2K17" will be launching on September 20, 2016, although placing a pre-order would allow one to get it earlier than others.

If the squad intro had any other name other than "The Glitch," it could be written off as actors and producers just clowning out. When these two are taken together, the reference to the "Jesus Pose" that killed NBA Elite 11 could just be undeniable. It is reported that the squad intro might have been there before and might be quite generic, but it is the name of the animation "The Glitch" which catches attention. A report by Polygon even points out that one intro is dubbed as "glitch" and would get a player striking a T-pose. They have seemingly poked some fun at the Bynum bug with one of the squad intros in the recently released 2K17 demo.

It is not clear if 2K is not content with already being the leader in selling their franchise of the NBA game annually, or if they are just being playful. This mockery apparently turned bitter as the game was initially and when it was about to be released, it was cancelled altogether. This glitch became viral and a hilarious video mocking the glitch spread across the internet, much to the dismay of the developers. Six years ago, developer EA temporarily rebranded its game to "NBA Elite" and had a glitch which caused Andrew Bynum to strike a Jesus pose in mid court. GameSpot reports that while 2K has been dominating the market for the NBA simulation games that has been released annually, it has subtly mocked its rival EA. In "NBA 2k17," it appears that the developers poke some fun at what happened a long time ago as the "Jesus Bynum" pose appears in one of its screens. It has already been six long years since the "Jesus Bynum" glitch had EA Sports' NBA game cancelled, but it appears that NBA 2K has not forgotten yet.
